BBQ Cook Off
Taking place every year since 2022 The Lazy B*$t&ards BBQ Cook off is open to not only established existing BBQ teams but we also welcome new teams to just come along and have a go at competing in a friendly environment with like minded BBQ enthusiasts.
Each year the competition welcomes a number of teams that cook over the period of 2 days - handing in 6 BBQ dishes that would include various creative rounds which are usually themed and have included the Seaside Round, Saturday night takeaway and Afternoon Tea!
Of course, not every competition is the same and rounds can vary year on year!
Cook Off entry - Friday 10th - Sunday 12th July 2026
Location: The Lazy Buzzards, Common Lane, Burgh Le Marsh, Lincolnshire, PE24 5HL
Your entry includes: Camping, Electric supply to pitch, Use of shared hot showers and toilets and a Friday night Chippy tea!
Heston. Multi sensory and scientific, engage the senses - limited only by your imagination.
KCBSSBCK. Low and Slow - meat in a box but NOT Chicken, Pork Ribs, Brisket, or Pork Shoulder!
It's My Birthday. Cake, we want Cake!
Sandwich. Any filling placed on or between slices of bread.
Celebration. A mystery until 2 weeks before - you'll be given a celebration and you'll need to provide a dish that represents the festivity (i.e. Easter, Christmas, Diwali, bonfire night...)
Steak. No pies, no pasties, no sides - just steak on a plate.
ON THE WHISTLE! - listen for the whistle, grab your mystery ingredients, and cook...
