BBQ Cook Off
Taking place every year since 2022 The Lazy B*$t&ards BBQ Cook off is open to not only established existing BBQ teams but we also welcome new teams to just come along and have a go at competing in a friendly environment with like minded BBQ enthusiasts.
Each year the competition welcomes a number of teams that cook over the period of 2 days - handing in 6 BBQ dishes that would normally include 4 meat rounds - Bird, Sheep, Pig and Cow. There are also 2 creative rounds which are usually themed and have included the Seaside Round, Saturday night takeaway and Afternoon Tea!
Of course, not every competition is the same and rounds can vary year on year!
Cook Off entry - Friday 10th - Sunday 12th July 2026
Location: The Lazy Buzzards, Common Lane, Burgh Le Marsh, Lincolnshire, PE24 5HL
Your entry includes: Camping, Electric supply to pitch, Use of shared hot showers and toilets and a Friday night Chippy tea!
6 Rounds -
On A Stick. Anything cooked and served on a stick/skewer.
Ribs. Any Ribs! The ribs are the main ingredient.
Great British Takeaway. A mystery until 2 weeks before - you will each be given a different takeaway theme - could be Turkish, Thai, Indian etc...
Bird but NOT chicken. Any bird (but not chicken please!) - cooked and presented any way you like.
Star of the Show. One dish showing off your fine dining skills.
Pizza. Mamma Mia!

Every year we are grateful to receive support from various BBQ related companies. We have all sorts of BBQ equipment donated as prizes, including merchandise, food prep and storage. Our friends at Weber, I.O.Shen, Traeger, Angus & Oink and Yeti have supplied so many amazing prizes so that all of our teams are competing to win!
